About the Company:
DeShea Designs, LLC is a theatrical lighting company specializing in sales, design, installation, and consulting for stage lighting systems, equipment, and supplies. The company was founded in January 2001 by Nikki DeShea Smith, the National Entertainment Sales Manager for Litcor (dba Little Stage Lighting). In 2001 DeShea Designs, LLC began servicing Little Stage Lighting customers when Litcor sold its fiber optic lighting division, NitenDay Industries.
About the Founder
Nikki DeShea Smith has over 14 years of experience in the theatrical lighting industry. Along with a degree in theatre, Nikki also has a degree in accounting. After having 7 years of experience with Little Stage Lighting, Nikki formed her own company DeShea Designs, LLC. She has had experience in rentals, sales and design for both permanent and special event lighting. By working for a company that had been in business since 1925, Nikki has had hands on experience with older equipment as well as the newer technology. She has developed a close working relationship with other lighting manufactures by working industry tradeshows for NitenDay Industries. Over the years Nikki has worked on various crews to set up lights for concerts, plays, TV broadcasts, presidential campaigns and other special events. Nikki is currently serving on the board for Hip Pocket Theatre in Fort Worth , where she has been involved since 1992.
