Question: What information will DeShea Designs need to discuss our project?

 

Answer:
Measurements of the stage.
Height of stage.
Height of ceiling above stage.
Measurements from floor to ceiling in areas in front of the stage.
Height of any existing hanging positions.

Height and width of proscenium opening if applicable.
Distance of any existing hanging positions from the stage.
Measurements of house area in front of stage

How is stage being used (layout and usage) (ex: drama, assemblies, pulpit, choir, musicals, etc.)
Number of areas needed on stage.
List of existing dimming and control if applicable.
Existing power available for dimming.
Are there any existing pieces of equipment that need to be taken into consideration. (ex: screens for     projection, light or fans that  hang from ceiling, anything that lights may cast shadow of if not addressed.)
Who will be running the lighting system (ex: staff, students, volunteers.)

Budget available for lighting system.

 
Question: I am not knowledgeable about lighting but I am in charge of our lighting project. Is this a problem?
Answer:
DeShea Designs works with many schools, churches, etc. whose project manager is not a lighting expert.
